Part 3 of 5: Is Facebook and online media your Friend or Foe? If so, what to do with it?

Here’s the part 3 of the 5 part series.
Also the closing of Mr.Tan’s case.

2. Really must do it leh.

This is regardless if Mr.Tan wants to tab on my expertise or not.

At the very basic, he got to have an online presence for his business if he wants the business to grow.

To do + Reason

a. Website 

The bare minimal asset to present past projects and testimonials.

Subtle enough for the potential customer to know that the company has been around for some time and is not fly-by-night.

It’s one of the ways to show your potential customer your company profile,  anytime and anywhere they wish to.

In this current age and time, without an online presence is like a business without a name.

OR, at least a…

b. Facebook business page

Ok, so website building may be a daunting process or even a small investment risk to take.

Then there’s the updating mountain to overcome.

Facebook is the answer. The learning curve is gentle. Setting up is guided.

Aiyah, if really got a problem, get your kid or teen relative to help set it up and less than an hour of hand-holding training to get it going.

Treat them with a shopping voucher or something.

No more excuses.

Fearful of negative comments?
Some questions are just pure ignorance.

Take the opportunity to educate them and turn it into a Like, who knows maybe into a raving new fan!

Abusive, irrational negative comments?
Delete them lor.

Humans love to help.

Most would happily shout out on Facebook if they like you and the service.
If they are asked to.

c. Email update.

With 150+ customers and counting, there must be email contact.

That’s Mr.Tan’s list that no one else has.

Don’t let it sit in the address book.

With all the R&D Mr.Tan has done during his free time, translate that into a simple email to his customers, so that they know he is still around and is constantly upgrading.

Not only consistent update brings top-of-the-mind recall, this beings confidence to the customer to readily referral friends to him.

Know about a great way to clean rust off window panes efficiently without harmful chemicals?

Share it in the email.
Show that he cares for his customers.
