Don’t MultiTask

Do not multitask

L ess is more. This is perhaps one of the more well-known philosophy for Japanese design and creatives.

Same goes for us mere mortals too when it comes to juggling between family, work and any other commitments.

It’s tempting to reply emails or answer calls when you are with your family.

Or thinking of a lovely family holiday in the midst of a long project.

Or trying to message those chat groups while you are working on your proposal.

Don’t do that! Do one thing at a time and be 100% present at whatever you are doing.

While it may seem that you can handle a few things at a time, you won’t be fully engaged in the given activity.

Isn’t that shortchanging your client or your loved ones?

Relax and be fully immersed at the moment. You’ll be surprised how efficient you will be when you do just one thing at a time.

Less is more. Focus on one.
